The CTO opportunity

G’s is a collection of commonly owned businesses which operate within an autonomous business unit framework.

In the UK, Information Systems supports the UK business entities and has close links into the Spanish business through integrated system connectivity which enables efficient order processing.

Each business unit has the autonomy to choose how much or little support they require within the limits of common core systems.

Outside of the UK, each region has its own IT provision and in most case different ERP/systems & Key Business Systems Services.

• G’s experienced a significant malware attack in 2019 which paralysed key systems and identified weaknesses in our infrastructure.
• Since then we have invested multiple millions in rebuilding our team and hardware to be more resilient.
• This delayed many change projects which the business was keen to pursue.
• Key platforms have been stabilised with some due for replacement.
• Our ERP is currently undergoing a technical upgrade for the first time in many years.
• Architecture – Architecture and Design authority is a focus area to shape our technical landscape. (short-mid-long term).
• People - Hybrid team in-house and partnerships supporting a wide range of corporate and argi-industry solutions. The team is new and is evolving.

What are we looking for:

• Experienced IT professional.
• Dynamic, solutions orientated leader.
• Experience of BI, centralised data roll out.
• Complex stakeholder environment, need for candidate with resilient approach.
• Project delivery experience required to support build-out of delivery capability.
• Knowledge of Azure/Microsoft stack would be of advantage.
• Supply Chain Experience - ideally the candidate would be someone who has strong experience with Supply chain, Distribution  and Manufacturing.
• Proven inspirational leader that can develop and lead a high performing team for the future.
